Fair Week
This last week was the fair here in Burley. We stayed pretty busy having fun. Wednesday we went to the parade. It was very very hot but the kids had fun. And we went and walked around the fair looking at the animals. Madison really enjoyed the pigs. One was even squealing at her. On Thursday we went to the carnival for buddy day. Kenedi didn't have a buddy so she was stuck with me.
This was her favorite ride. It was one of those fun houses that you walk thru and this tunnel was at the end. It spins and you walk thru it. The first time i went thru i about fell on my face but she enjoyed it.
She really wanted to go on the zipper but they told her she was to short. She was really bummed but that meant that i didn't have to go on it either so it was good for me.
On Friday Nikki and I went and watched the hypnotist. I really enjoy watching them and so does Nikki. We talked Gerald into going back on Saturday with us. So we all went. Kenedi got quite the kick out of it also.
We now have Nikki back for school to start. She starts the 7th grade. Junior High man that makes me feel old. I think that she will like it though.

Butterfly
A couple of weeks ago we were at my moms helping her do some yard work. We were helping her cut down some of the branches off her pine trees and Kenedi found a caterpillar. She was so excited when we told her she could keep it. So her and grandma were headed in the house to get a jar and it fell off the leaf she was carrying it on. So we looked and looked for it and she finally found it right when grandma stepped on it. She was so bummed. So we went back to work and grandma found another one. So they put it in a jar with some leaves and a little branch and we took it home. Well she left it outside in the yard and it got really hot in the jar so i told her she needed to bring it in the house. So she did and her dad told her that it was dead. Well she didn't believe him she kept telling him that it was moving. The next day it was in its cacoon. And about 2 weeks later it turned into a butterfly.
She was so happy to see that it had turned into a butterfly and was really sad when we told her she had to let it go or it would die. So we took her outside to let it go and she was scared to death of it. It would flap its wings to get out of the jar and she threw the jar on the ground and took a big step back.
It was really neat to watch all the changes they go thru and turn into a big beautiful butterfly. We are looking forward to doing this again next year. (Notice her miss matched shoes that's the way she likes to wear her shoes now.)

Nat Soo Pah
On Tuesday we went to Nat Soo Pah. Nat Soo Pah is an Indian name that means "Magic Mineral Water" 100 years ago the Shoshone Indians used the springs for baths and in 1926 the pool was built. The water is naturally warm. They have 2 diving boards and a slide. When we walked in Kenedi saw the higher diving board and wanted to go off it. I told her ok thinking that she would chicken out. But that wasn't the case. She marched right up to the top and took off running off the end. She comes up and says I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN. It was so fun to watch her.
Madison just loved the water. I took her down the slide and she didn't like it at all. When we hit the first curve she almost started crying. She was content just splashing around or if you set her on the side of the pool she would jump into your arms and squeal. She is such a character and so much fun. I loved this picture of her. We put the goggles on her and she left them on. I think she thought they were pretty neat. Thursday, July 24, 2008
So as you can tell i haven't figured this out yet but i am still working on it and i WILL figure it out.
Last night Kenedi really wanted to put some makeup on, so i told her after dinner that she could and that if she was a good girl while we were at dinner she could put some on me. So when we got home she ran for the makeup and was so excited. She put makeup on both of us. And was so proud of herself she kept telling me that i looked fabulous.

Madison didn't quite know what to think about it. She kept looking at me really funny and would reach out and touch my face as if she thought something was wrong and wanted to make sure i was ok.

This is all new.
This is all new to me and i am going to try and figure it out myself with out Gerald's help. I am completely computer illiterate and Gerald has all the brains. I thought this would be fun for our friends and family to have a little peek into our lives.
